confused about getting your builder licence or trade licence? we can help
Whether you are seeking a trade licence or builder licence in QLD or NSW, figuring out where you and your business stand can be tricky.
When you’re not sure if you need a trade licence for your work, if you can get a builder licence, or what you need for an application, our first step is usually an initial licensing consultation with you. This is where we take the time to talk through your industry history, experience, qualifications and appreciate your individual circumstances.
Some of the requirements to get a builder or trade licence are pretty complicated, so it’s normal to be confused about the requirements – especially if you’ve been talking to a lot of people, and gotten a lot of different answers. Speaking to one of our licensing specialists is a great way to find the line in the sand, and start figuring out how to get to the licence you need.
During our consult with you, we’ll work through your questions and set you up to make informed decisions about options and costs, moving closer to your goals.
what happens in an Initial Licensing Consultation?
We start with matching you to a specialist that has experience with your state and licensing needs. Next is a one-on-one chat to understand your qualifications, experience and licensing requirements. Our expert will match your needs against licensing criteria, giving you clear written guidance on the most practical way forward.
Completing a consultation with us does not lock you into further services. We’ll offer a detailed plan and an itemised quote, but you have complete control over what happens next. how much does it cost?
Our fees for an initial consult are $250 + GST.
ready to apply?
If you’re chasing your trade licence, site supervisor licence or company licence, and have your qualifications sorted, we can get started straight away without the need for an initial licensing consult.
Send us a copy of your certificates or give us a call and we can provide you a quote based on your licensing needs. We can also cross check your qualifications with the guidelines for your State to make sure you are on track.
how long does it take?
Our specialist team is here to partner with you, making the process straightforward and time efficient. We typically run consultations by appointment – give us a call and we can book you in. The first appointment is typically by phone, meaning you don’t have to take time out of your day or make a special trip.
If you’re good to go, our time to prepare and submit Trade Licence Applications, Site Supervisor Licence Applications and Company Licence Applications is typically about 7-10 days.
Once your application is lodged with the local licensing authority, processing times will vary. You should allow at least 6 weeks in QLD or NSW for the government to receive and start assessing your application. We’ll also make sure your qualifications meet the state guidelines, before submitting the application.
We’ll keep it simple and easy.
