If you are taking on building and construction work that is valued over $3,300 (including labour and materials) per job, you must have a QBCC Trade Licence or QBCC Builder Licence. You also need a QBCC Trade Contractor Licence to advertise legally as well as obtain compulsory QBCC Home Warranty Insurance.

The Variety of QBCC Trade Licences

There are 31 trade licences you can apply for in Queensland, covering a huge range of work such as bricklaying, structural landscaping, waterproofing, tiling, fencing, painting,

and carpentry. QBCC Trade licences make up almost half of all building work licences available in Queensland, and support both the residential and commercial construction industry.
